Program Overview

    Under the leadership of our Program Director, Brian Loder DPM, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital has received approval for our Podiatric Residency Program.  We will select our first of 4 residents to begin on July 1, 2006.

    We have 34 staff podiatrists who perform over 550 surgical cases with 1000 procedures per year.  We anticipate that number to increase significantly during the first few years of the residency program. 

    Henry Ford Macomb Hospital has the podiatric and specialty training in a safe, growing community to assist your development into a superb podiatrist.

  Year 1: 

5 Months Podiatry
1 Month Family Medicine
1 Month Internal Medicine
1 Month Neurology
1 Month Emergency Medicine
1 Month Pathology
1 Month Anesthesiology
0.5 Month Vascular Lab
0.5 Month Radiology

  Year 2:

6 Months Podiatry
1 Month General Surgery
1 Month Plastic Surgery
1 Month Vascular Surgery
1 Month Infectious Disease
1 Month Wound Care
1 Month Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation

  Year 3:

6 Months Podiatry
2 Months Orthopedics
1 Month Wound Care
1 Month Vascular Surgery
1 Month Infectious Disease
