Through its school health and parish nursing networks, Henry Ford Macomb Hospital has touched the lives of more than 207,000 students and 172,000 parishioners last year alone. Hundreds of community volunteers work with Henry Ford Macomb staff to provide services through relationships developed with 90 schools, 54 churches and two health care clinics. The clinics, located in downtown Mt. Clemens and Romeo, provide care to more than 2,000 homeless and uninsured people. Additionally, nearly 1,000 community members volunteer in hundreds of areas throughout Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and outpatient facilities, and through the organization's Foundation, thousands of other community residents provide philanthropic support. Programs for students include opportunities for individual arrangements with individual physicians on both inpatient and outpatient rotations. Rotational opportunities from one month to one year will also be offered to qualified third and fourth year students that are program oriented. Free student housing is also available on a first come, first served basis.
